Whatever your requirements as a unit, team, crew or squadron, Jays Flightwear will deliver the goods! Our flightsuits can be customised in a wide range of styles; extra pockets, heavy duty 'rescue' epulettes, leg pockets, knife pockets, hi-viz flashes, name/unit/insignia, lightweight, heavyweight, windproof, rainproof, flame retardant, slash resistant...whatever you need in a flight suit, Jays can provide it. Client Name: King Air Display

Ft Lts Leon Creese and Duncan Wright, from RAF Cranwell, have recently become the first RAF King Air crew to be awarded Public Display Authority. After a short but intensive period of display development and crew training, they demonstrated the B200's exceptional performance and manoeuvrability, finishing the technically demanding routine with a tactical short field landing.

The crew, instructors on 45(Reserve) Squadron, the RAF's multi-engine advanced flying training unit, were awarded their Public Display Authority by AVM Dick Garwood, Air Officer Commanding 22(Training) Group.

The Central Flying School display approval has traditionally taken the form of an aerobatics competition between the finest instructors from the Tucano, Hawk and Tutor Squadrons. The Novice Trophy is presented to the best newcomer to the display circuit, and the Wright Jubilee Trophy is awarded for the best display.

The winners were selected by a highly experienced panel of judges: AVM Garwood; Air Cdre Brian Newby, the Director of Flying Training 22(Training) Group; Gp Capt Nick Seward, the Commandant of the Central Flying School; and Mr Alan Cassidy, four times British Aerobatics Champion.

Despite excellent performances by the other pilots, the King Air crew were awarded both the Novice and the Wright Jubilee trophies. Considering that an RAF King Air had never been displayed before, and as such there was no corporate experience to draw upon, this was a remarkable achievement.

On the 1st June Flt Lts Leon Creese and Ben Mason presented the King Air at the first of its public displays, the RAF Cosford Air Show, where it was warmly received by some 54,000 enthusiastic spectators. Throughout the 2008 season, the King Air is scheduled to perform 25 displays at most of the UK's largest aviation events, including the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford.
