Jays Flightwear have the capability, through their parent company Dale Techniche Limited, to produce flightwear utilising a wide range of materials and fabrics. All manufacturing is done at our factory in Nelson, Lancashire, England. This is where we also produce the famous Jays Racewear driving suits and clothing, as well as our range of Protection Textiles products for industry. (For further technical information about slash resistant, flame resistant and other protective materials and fabrics, please see our site for Dale Techniche Limited.) Below we see our factory in Nelson, and shots of our fabric-knitting process and machines.

Once we have the materials ready to meet our client's specifications, we can then begin working to the cutting patterns. Materials and fabrics can be cut to specifications required for the finalised product, be it flight suit, race suit or industrial protective clothing. Below we see various stages in the cutting process.

Once the patterns have been cut and checked by our stringent quality control, the actual sewing process can begin. Our team of skilled seamstresses have years of sewing experience between them, and as always, quality control is paramount. Below, we see our sewing department in action at various stages of the process.

An important part of the process is the embroidering of clients' logos, badges, name tags, unit flashes and other decorative or functional designs into the material.
Below we see our embroidering process in action through several stages. The unit patch here is for the Army Air Corp Helicopter Display Team.

The finished products are then shipped  (or even collected by the more eager!) to our clients. Naturally, we keep a selection of flight and race suits in our showroom at Nelson to introduce our clients to the full range of our products and materials. Below we see a good selection of racesuits, flightsuits and sportswear.
